ITBP Medical Officer Recruitment 2026: Qualification Criteria

1. Super Specialist Medical Officer (Second-in-Command)
- MBBS or equivalent degree.
- MCI/NMC registration is mandatory.
- A relevant PG degree or diploma, along with a DM, M.Ch., or an equivalent qualification, is required.
- 3 years of relevant experience required.
2. Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant)
- Recognized medical degree with MCI/NMC registration.
- Mandatory internship completed.
- PG Degree: 1.5 years’ experience.
- PG Diploma: 2.5 years’ experience.
3. Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant)
- Recognized medical degree with MCI/NMC registration.
- Mandatory internship required.
- Internship candidates may also apply, subject to recruitment rules.
ITBP Medical Officer Recruitment 2026: Selection Process
Here, we would like to inform you about the selection process, which is as follows—
- Documents: It is mandatory for all candidates to carry their original certificates—such as the 10th-grade mark sheet, degree, internship certificate, Medical Council registration, and caste certificate—along with photocopies of the same.
- Interview: It will be worth 200 marks, and securing a minimum of 80 marks (40%) is mandatory to pass; it will assess your knowledge and personality.
- PST; The height and chest of all candidates who pass the interviews will be measured.
